Ajay,
I know, I know it's Saturday. Start of your weekend. A day to relax and re-charge your batteries.
If you are a full-time web designer, then you should be taking the day off.
Go.
Don't read the rest of this email. It can wait til Monday. Take some time off and hit ground running next week.
For those of us who are doing this part-time, we have work to do. Remember, we have made a commitment to build a better life for ourselves in 2016. And that takes discipline. Discipline to work when everyone else is playing.
Don't worry, this won't last forever. Once we have your business machine fine tuned, you can have your Saturday's back. And further down the line you can have Friday's off if you choose. Oh, and two week vacations 3 or 4 times a year will be the norm.
Now, let's get down to business.
Here is the complete update from Day 3 of launching my web design business.
Official Business Launch: January 12, 2016 at 10:09 a.m.
Summary: Leads were slow today, only two new leads. Which was ok because I need to followup with all my other leads and I had a website mockup to work on. By the way, reply to this email and let me know how many times you followup with a lead after the first contact. 2? 3? 7? 14?
I am curious what your lead nurturing process is. Let me know.
The website mockup is for a small bakery shop. They primarily focus is on cake pops, cakes balls, chocolate covered pretzels etc. Not sure how I feel about doing a free website mockup, but I know my competition is doing it. I will be testing this to see if it improves conversion numbers.
Obviously this is a lot more work, but if it lands more clients then it may make business sense. I will let you know.
Here are the stats…
Key Performance Metrics (KPM) through Jan 14, 2016 (3 days total)
Visitors - 10
Leads - 10
Sales - 0
Customers - 0
Expenses - $65.52
Profit - $0
Time Spent - 9.07 hours
I have launched 7 different marketing campaigns. Here is what I am testing so far… Google Adwords, Craigslist, Periscope, Thumbtack, Bing Ads, Twitter and Bulletin Boards.
Well, that's all for now. Have a nice, productive weekend. :)
