Ajay, 7 things your website must include

Hi Ajay,

Conrad here from LearnWebDevelopment.com.

The #1 problem our readers and clients deal with
is Information Overload.

Information can be a good thing, but too much
information can leave you paralyzed.

If you don't know where to start or what to do,
because you have too much information and too
many options, this email should help you clear the
clutter and get started right away.

The very first thing you need to be a web
designer is your own portfolio website.

Your portfolio website should represent you, be
a sample of your work and give clients a way to
contact you.

But one of the biggest mistakes newbie web
designers make is they throw up a portfolio
website and think clients will just rush right
over.

That's not how it works.

Once your portfolio website is set up correctly,
you have to market it. You have to get out there,
get your name out and find clients...

Don't worry, we're going to talk more about this
later, but today let's talk about making an
effective web design portfolio website.

What should be included?

We'll there are 7 things your website must
include:

1. Your Logo - not clip-art or a fancy script,
but an actual, professional logo.

2. A Tagline - Taglines should be short, relevant
and help your visitors quickly realize what you
have to offer and what makes you unique.

3. Samples Of Your Work - Most potential clients
will want to see websites you've designed before
they hire you. (If you're just getting started and
don't have any samples, don't worry. I'll tell you
what to do in just a minute.)

4. Your Services - Don't make anyone guess what
you do. Make sure you're specific about what
services you offer.

5. An About Page - This page gives your visitors
and potential clients a look at the real you.
People want to do business with people. So let
them get to know you before they hire you.

6. A Contact Page - This page is one of the
most important pages on your website because,
if you leave this out, no one will know how to
contact you to hire you.

Also, don't forget to include all the ways you
wish to be contacted, such as phone, email
address, instant messenger, etc.

7. Testimonials - This is a great way to add
credibility and show you've done a good job for
other clients.

So there you have it - the 7 things you must
include on your portfolio website to get clients.

But what if you're just getting started and don't
have samples or testimonials?

What if you don't even know how to create a
website?

Don't worry, I've put together a complete
step-by-step bootcamp that shows you exactly
how to create websites and find clients. In fact,
you'll be working with a real client from day one.

And, by the time you finish the bootcamp, you'll
have a portfolio website and several samples to
put in your portfolio.
